Q: Who is Healthanywhere?

Q: What is Telehealth?

A:  Telehealth is a generic term covering the use of communications and information technology to deliver health and health care services, information and education, where participants are physically separated, potentially over great distances.

Telehealth can help to improve access by overcoming barriers of geography, transportation infrastructure, or socio-economic disparity. It can enable clinical consultation, continuing professional education, health promotion, and healthcare management and administration. Both broad and low bandwidth infrastructure and technology are used in the provision of telehealth services.  


Q: What is eHealth?

A:  eHealth is a term often used interchangeably with telehealth, but is more recently and narrowly defined as a component of Healthcare practices which is supported by electronic processes and communication technologies. Specifically, eHealth refers to processes relative to the use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR, EHR), Consumer Health Informatics and Virtual Healthcare Teams.

A:  mHealth is also presently a term being used more frequently, denoting the specific use of mobile devices in collecting aggregate and patient level health data and providing healthcare information to practitioners, researchers, and patients. As communication technologies allow an ever increasing ability to stay connected (online) while on the move, this has allowed for the ability to continuously monitor in real-time patient vitals, environmental conditions and other factors and facilitate the direct provision of care over relatively high bandwidth networks.
